A dynamic EQ with zero latency, and three helpers that find the problem for you. Coming soon · VST3 and AU on macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel) · VST3 on Windows.
ADALET is a dynamic EQ with six bands and zero latency. Any bell or shelf can be made dynamic, so it cuts or lifts only while the sound needs it. Three helpers sit on top: TARGET, COLLIDE and SELF. They do the finding, so you can do the deciding.
The LAB face: a flat digital screen with numbered band chips and one control row.
Band 4, a bell, made dynamic: RANGE −6 dB, THRESHOLD −30 dB, ATTACK 10 ms, RELEASE 100 ms, triggered by the band itself (SELF) or by KEY. TARGET (KICK · SUB) and COLLIDE (KEY) are on above.
The ORBIT face: a round instrument case with rings and pushers. It edits the same settings as LAB.
Bell, low shelf, high shelf, notch, low cut and high cut. The cuts run at 12, 24, 36, 48 or 72 dB per octave and have a resonance control. Any bell or shelf can be dynamic: RANGE up to ±12 dB, with THRESHOLD, ATTACK and RELEASE, triggered by the band itself or by the sidechain KEY.
Tell ADALET the instrument and the part, and it learns where that part sits in the material from the hits and cuts it by AMOUNT. It is static and needs no sidechain. VOCAL: BOX, NASAL, HARSH, S, REVERB-READY. BASS: SUB, BODY, TOP. DRUMS: KICK BODY, SNARE BODY, HATS SHIMMER. KICK: SUB, BODY, CLICK. SNARE: BODY, CRACK, SNAP/AIR, REVERB-READY. HATS: CHICK, SHIMMER.
Route a KEY track to the sidechain and COLLIDE cuts this track only where the KEY track is loud.
SELF finds resonances in the track it sits on and cuts them.
Hold DELTA to hear only what is being cut. BYPASS is level-matched, so a comparison is not decided by loudness. A live spectrum analyzer shows POST by default, with PRE and KEY optional, and the curve on screen is the engine’s own response.
