ELEK

Stems, vocal removal, key and tempo. On your computer. $7 (regular $25), launch price until 1 December 2026 · Standalone app, VST3 and AU on macOS (Apple Silicon). Windows version in preparation.

Drop a track and choose what to do: four stems, vocal removal, or tempo and key on their own. ELEK runs entirely on your computer, so your music never leaves it, and every result is saved, named and kept in a list you can reopen.

In the app

Start screen

Drop a track, or reopen an earlier separation from the list.

Choose

The file is loaded; nothing runs until you choose what to do.

Mixer

Four stems in the mixer, with tempo, key and Camelot on top.

Three operations, one choice

Stem separation writes vocals, drums, bass and other. Vocal removal writes the vocal and the instrumental. Key & BPM reads the tempo, the musical key, its Camelot code and how sure the reading is, without separating anything. Nothing starts when you drop a file: you pick the operation first.

Clean joins, no seams

The separation engine is HT-Demucs, run over overlapping windows with a cross-fade, so the stems have no clicks where the windows meet. The instrumental is the mix minus the vocal, so nothing that is not the voice is lost.

Any file, lined up to the sample

WAV, AIFF, MP3 and FLAC, mono or stereo, at any sample rate. Files that are not at 44.1 kHz are converted for the engine and the stems come back aligned to the original to the sample, as 24-bit WAV at 44.1 kHz, ready to drop under the track in your DAW.

Named so you can find them

Every run gets its own folder in Music/ELEK. Files carry the track name, the stem, the tempo and the key, for example Bir Araya Gelemeyiz_Vocals_144BPM_Bmin_ELEK.wav. The key is written into the name only when the reading is decisive; the window always shows it with its confidence.

Earlier separations, one click away

The start screen lists your earlier runs, newest first, until you delete the files. Click one and it opens in the mixer again, with its tempo and key.

Listen before you take it

Play all stems together, seek on any waveform, mute, solo and set the level of each stem. Drag a stem straight into your DAW, or open the folder.

How fast

Measured on an Apple M2 with 8 GB of memory: a four-minute track separates into four stems in about three and a half minutes; tempo and key take a few seconds. 8 GB of memory is enough; separation uses about 2.4 GB at its peak.

The controls

Everything runs on your computer. No account is needed to use the app once it is installed.
